The Hospitality Hub’s officially launched

Hospitality Hub launch

The official launch of the Hospitality Hub was met with great interest and enthusiasm by the guests attending.  The launch was held in Wellingtons Apartment Bar situated in the heart of the city.  The management of The Apartment Bar kindly hosted the event and let our Hospitality Hub developer and chef Asher Regan use the kitchen to produce all the healthy food on offer.

The launch was well attended by influential members of both the food industry and health sector.  The general consensus at the launch was that this was a great resource to have available and most attendees were looking forward to browsing the content in more detail.  Nicola Potts who is the food, nutrition and hospitality teacher from St Patrick's College has already included the Hospitality Hub in her class and directed students there to find information.

The Hospitality Hub has a wealth of information, resources and links to other providers on a variety of topics relating to healthy food and hospitality.  Within the Hospitality Hub there are sections dedicated to the following subject areas:

  • Menu development
  • Allergy information
  • Food safety
  • Recipe modification
  • Nutrition information
  • Training and professional development

As well as these subject areas there are pages dedicated to specific sectors within the food industry.  These include:

  • Schools and early childhood education
  • Events and conferences
  • Bakery, fast food and food retail stores
  • Restaurants, hotels and cafes
  • Workplace cafeteria
  • Residential facilities
  • Churches and Pacific gatherings
  • Marae

The Hospitality Hub will be updated regularly to reflect current knowledge, trends and requirements.  If there is anything you would like to see on there please contact us and let us know.
