2010 Annual Appeal Week

The Heart Foundation is the charity that works to stop New Zealanders dying prematurely from heart disease.

It is funded almost entirely by generous donations from the public, corporate support and gifts in wills.

Annual Appeal Week is coming up early in the New Year, from 8-14 February 2010, with the National Street Appeal Collection Day on Friday 12 February.
 
Our aim in 2010 is to highlight the fact that cardiovascular disease (heart disease and stroke) is tearing our families apart unnecessarily and prematurely. The disease accounts for 40% of all deaths annually.
 
The Heart Foundation needs your support to raise more than $300,000 in our Annual Appeal in order to carry on our core activities.   
 
Donations during our Annual Appeal Week, help those living with heart disease by contributing to vital heart research, supporting cardiac rehabilitation and promoting healthy lifestyles.
