When your life is full of people who depend on you, it’s easy to forget to take care of yourself.
Heart disease is the single biggest killer of women in New Zealand, yet most women don’t know this. 48 women lose their battle with the disease every week, and what’s worse is that most of these deaths are premature and preventable.

To raise awareness of heart disease in women, we are relying on women to wear red this month – whether that’s red lipstick, nail polish, or a cute red dress.
In support of the campaign, a number of New Zealand celebrities have volunteered to ‘Go Red’ this month.
Anna Coddington (musician), Kerry-Lee Dewing (Shortland Street), Meghan Mutrie (Crowd Goes Wild) and Nicole Whippy (Outrageous Fortune and Nothing Trivial) slipped on their painting overalls before being handed the perfect canvas - a beautiful man to paint red – willingly demonstrating there’s some things in life going red for, but heart disease isn’t one of them.
