Heart disease is the single biggest killer of New Zealand women yet the majority of kiwi women don't know this.
In fact, heart disease claims the lives of around 2,500 women each year and yet our research shows that more than three quarters of New Zealand women are unaware that it is heart disease that is their leading cause of death. We need to stop heart disease tearing our families and communities apart prematurely and often unnecessarily.
This year we are calling a CODE RED on heart disease and urging women across the country to rise up, take control of your heart health and support the Go Red for Women campaign.
