Spiced Beef in Potato Bun

M e t h o d        
  1. Mix the beef and dukah together.  Heat the oil in a pan and seal the beef, add MAGGI demi-glace sauce and water and reduce by half.  Remove the spiced beef from the pan and allow to cool.
  2. Boil water, remove from heat, add MAGGI Instant Mashed Potato Mix and mix thoroughly.
  3. Add the margarine, milk and Parmesan.  Mix in the flour, and season.
  4. Turn the potato onto a floured board and divide required portions.
  5. Flatten each portion to a 1cm thick in the centre and taper to the edges.
  6. Place a spoonful of the beef filling in the centre of each and gather the edges together.
  7. Place the buns on a greased tray, gathered side down, and brush with a little beaten egg.
  8. Sprinkle with a little spice mix and bake in oven pre-heated to 200º C for 10 minutes or until evenly browned.

Variations:

  • Try serving with a tomato relishby Substitute the filling with drained portions of Nestle Buitoni Ratatouille
    - with a mixture of seasoned wilted spinach, cottage cheese and shredded chicken
    - with a slightly thickened savoury mushroom mixture.
