Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of activities are Heart Foundation volunteers involved in?
Volunteers are engaged in a wide variety of activities, reflecting their broad range of skills, interests and experience. The kind of help we need varies and depends on how much time you have to give. Some activities volunteers have helped with in the past are:
- Administrative work in our offices
- Fundraising activities
- Event co-ordination
- Public speaking
- Research projects
- Educational activities
- Befriending schemes
Do I have to make a regular commitment?
We understand that you have other commitments and interests that may mean that you are unable to volunteer on a regular basis. You can decide the times that suit you - we are entirely flexible.
Will I be interviewed?
It is important that you are matched with a volunteering opportunity that is right for you. We interview all our volunteers in order to find out what areas of our work interest them, and how they would like to use their skills. This is a two-way process and allows you to find out more about the Heart Foundation and how you can be part of it.
