Guidelines for Rheumatic Fever 1:Diagnosis, Management and Secondary Prevention
This guideline presents the evidence for best practice in ARF diagnosis. It identifies both the standard of care that should be available to all people in New Zeland abd where current management strategies may not be in line with available evidence with the objective being that high-risk populations receive the same standard of care as that available to other New Zealanders.
Two further guidelines on sore throat management and primary prevention programmes of acute rheumatic fever will be published later in the year.
