Become a Heart Saver

Today's Heart Savers are Tomorrow's Life Savers!

Who are Heart Savers?

Heart Savers are those donors who have made the commitment to making monthly gift donations towards the life-saving work of the Heart Foundation. They come from all walks of life - common to all is their resolve to take a stand against cardiovascular disease (CVD) which is still the biggest threat to our family and friends.

Why is regular giving so important?

Regular donation income is vital to the work of the Heart Foundation. It enables us to fund with certainty, long-term research programmes which will help New Zealanders who are suffering from or are at risk of CVD. At present we are only able to support a fraction of the research applications we receive. More Heart Saver commitments will enable us to say "Yes" and fund more deserving research proposals and training fellowships.

Guaranteed regular income from our supporters also means that we can commit to other work including community engagement, awareness and education programmes to reduce the risk and impact of cardiovascular disease on individuals and their families. Read more here.

How regular giving works.

Regular giving is safe and easy. Each month, a regular amount is automatically deducted from your credit card or bank account. You choose how much to give, and you can increase or decrease the amount, or even cancel your payment, at any time.

You will receive a welcome pack on becoming a Heart Saver as well as regular updates as to how your donations are being used to help beat heart disease in New Zealand. At the end of the financial year you will also receive a statement detailing your payments, which you can use to complete your tax return.

You can contact us at any time to discuss your regular gifts by calling us toll-free on 0800 830 100 or by emailing us.
