Heart Start
The Heart Foundation is pleased to be able to offer Heart Start, a new initiative which is flexible and relevant to the changing environment and varying needs of schools. It will act as a precursor for our existing comprehensive nutrition and physical activity programmes, creating an entry point for new schools not already engaged in heart health promotion. Schools are acknowledged by the Heart Foundation for completing a minimum of five out of nine possible modules around creating a heart healthy environment for their students. 80 schools from around the country will take part in Phase One (from 16 November), with a view to make the initiative available to all schools in Phase Two by mid 2010.
