New Heart Health Advocate in the Bay of Plenty

The National Heart Foundation of New Zealand is pleased to announce the appointment of Catherine Robinson as the new Heart Health Advocate for the Tauranga Branch.
 
Catherine has a passion for promoting health messages and educating the community. She said she will be listening to the needs of the community in relation to all aspects of the Foundation's work to ensure the Heart Foundation responds appropriately to the local need.
 
"I know the Tauranga Branch of the Heart Foundation has a very strong, supportive volunteer network. I am looking forward to being involved with the volunteer drivers and the other volunteer activities."
 
She had been working in a health professional management role in physiotherapy at the MidCentral DHB.
 
"I completed secondary school in Tauranga and I'm delighted to be back to raise my young family in the beautiful Bay of Plenty."
 
She has begun familiarising herself with the local community and liaising with existing contacts to further develop the Heart Foundation's networks in the region.
 
Regional Heart Health Manager, Kylie McKee, welcomed Catherine to the team.
 
"Catherine comes to us with a successful background in a range of multidisciplinary settings and strengths in communication, negotiation and facilitation. We are pleased to have her with us."
