About the programme

Jump Rope For Heart for ECE Services started in 2010 and has been a winner with early childhood education services across the country. Introducing pre-schoolers to fundamental movement skills, this is an easy and fun way to get under 5's moving and feeling confident.

• You will receive complimentary skipping ropes and skipping resources
• Children develop  lifelong skills such as balance, rhythm and hand co-ordination while achieving new moves
• Children develop their team work skills through communication and timing
• Increases everyone's awareness of good nutrition and staying heart healthy
• Receive an exclusive Jump Rope For Heart certificate for every child and the ECE service on completion of the programme

What will you receive?

Once registered, your ECE service will receive all the ropes and resources you need to get jumping and having fun.

When can I do Jump Rope For Heart for ECE services?

You can choose to jump any time of the year or join other New Zealand ECEs as they "Jump-in-June" or "Skip-in-September". 

How much does the programme cost?

Jump Rope For Heart for ECE services is free for all services. We encourage fundraising through a gold coin collection for everyone taking part. All funds raised  pay for the  resources provided  and all proceeds are returned to the programme to ensure we can continue to grow Jump Rope.
