About our fundraising & marketing team

The Fundraising and Marketing team’s key responsibilities are delivering sustainable net voluntary income by engaging the New Zealand public in fundraising for the Heart Foundation. This is achieved through direct and relation-based programmes, building an engaging and high-profile Heart Foundation brand and providing marketing and communications support to Heart Foundation operating units across New Zealand to assist them in achieving their strategic goals. With the opportunity to work alongside some of the best fundraising, digital, marketing and communications thinkers in the not for profit space, the environment encourages learning and sharing of ideas and welcomes your creative thinking and excellent organisation skills.     

About your responsibilities

A rare chance for a tertiary qualified marketing or communications individual with a couple of years’ experience, to make a new role your own as you provide marketing and communications support to the wider team, respond to customer queries, act as brand steward for our highly regarded Heart Foundation marketing portfolio and support and contribute to various marketing campaigns. Your contributions and responsibilities will ensure you are fully engaged in all the marketing and communications activity for the Heart Foundation with a specific focus on:

  • General coordination of marketing and communications processes and activities
  • Delivery of brand aligned quality marketing collateral
  • Agency, production, and supplier liaison
  • Event coordination
  • Marketing support and communication to the regional offices
  • Regular reporting and media analysis

About your qualifications, skills and attributes

  • Tertiary qualification in marketing, communications or business administration
  • Previous experience supporting a marketing/communications team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Outstanding organisational, planning and process coordination skills
  • Exposure to project management techniques
  • Flexible, creative and open to change
  • Engaging personality that builds rapport across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Intermediate to advanced computer literacy
  • Valid and clean full drivers licence
