Apple and feijoa crumble

Apples and feijoas make the most amazing filling for this crumble, however when it's not feijoa season you could also use; pears, rhubarb, apples or most other fruits that stew up well.

Method

Fruit filling

  1. Place apples and feijoas in a pot with the lid on and cook over a low heat until soft

Crumble

  1. Put all ingredients into a food processor and blend until it resembles coarse breadcrumbs

Baking

  1. Heat oven to 175°C
  2. Place fruit in the bottom of an oven proof dish 
  3. Sprinkle crumble mixture over the top
  4. Bake for approximately 20 minutes or until hot through and brown on top

    dates, dried
  • 150 g
    flour, wholemeal
  • 5 g
    baking powder
  • egg
  • 30 ml
    vegetable oil
