Chilli and almond green beans

Try these green beans with chilli, almonds and lemon anytime. They're great hot as a side dish or cold as a snack.

Method

  1. Blanch the beans in boiling water for 2 minutes
  2. Remove from water and plunge into ice cold water until cold through
  3. Drain and set aside
  4. In a large frying pan toast the almonds over a medium heat until lightly browned
  5. Add chilli flakes, sesame oil and garlic and saute briefly
  6. Add lemon juice and blanched green beans and heat through
