Food for Thought uses an inquiry based learning approach to help students (years 5-6) learn how to make healthy food choices.

It’s free, fun and takes learning both inside and outside the classroom with in-class sessions as well as a visit to the local PAK'nSAVE, New World or Four Square.

It also fits into lots of different areas within the New Zealand Education Curriculum.

Project Energize works with primary schools to help them to improve their children’s physical activity and nutrition, and ultimately to improve overall health. A team of Energizers provide practical 'hands on' support and assistance to schools and teachers with any initiatives that will increase the quality and quantity of physical activity or improve the uptake of healthy eating.

Heart Foundation delivers Project Energize in Wellington City, Porirua and Kapiti through funding by Capital & Coast District Health Board. Project Energize was developed by Sport Waikato and the Waikato District Health Board, and has been successfully running in the Waikato region for over 10 years.
