Braised pork

A healthy recipe to add to your list of dinner ideas. This braised pork recipe can be used in many ways - shredded in wraps or sliders, chopped up and put back into the sauce for a stew or sliced and served with the sauce. You choose.

Method

  1. Heat oil in a large pot
  2. Brown pork on all sides then remove from the pot
  3. Sautee the onions and carrots until softened
  4. Add garlic, stock cube, vinegar, water and apple
  5. Return pork to the pot
  6. Cover and cook over low heat for approximately 2-3 hours or until the meat is tender
  7. Can also be cooked in the oven at 160°C in a covered oven proof dish.
