Chilli con carne

Here’s an easy and delicious meal the entire family can enjoy.

Method

  1. Heat oil in a large pot on medium heat.
  2. Gently cook the onion and garlic until soft.
  3. Add the mince and brown, drain off any extra fat.
  4. Add the mixed vegetables to the mince and stir well.
  5. Add the chopped tomatoes, chilli beans and corn kernels.
  6. Cook gently until the sauce has thickened.

Serve with rice, pita bread, pasta, bread or mashed potatoes.

Tips

  • Add some fresh or dried herbs to add more flavor, like rosemary or parsley. Choose seasonal fresh vegetables to save on cost.
