Easter egg bliss balls 

Make these super cute Easter egg bliss balls the star of your Easter treats.

Method

  1. Place dates in a bowl and cover with boiling water.  Soak for 10 minutes then drain  
  2. Add drained dates, peanut butter, ground almonds, cocoa powder and vanilla essence into a food processor and blend until smooth  
  3. Roll the mixture into bite size balls and form into egg shapes  
  4. Melt the chocolate in a glass bowl, either over a pot of hot water or in the microwave for 10-20 seconds periods stirring in between  
  5. Dip the bottom of the egg shaped bliss balls into the chocolate, then into the coconut thread.  Place on a flat tray and refrigerate until the chocolate has set  
  6. Keep in a sealed container in the fridge 
  7. Makes 25 balls.
