Fish with coconut and chilli steamed in banana leaf

This beautiful, steamed fish is full of flavour and wonderful aromas that burst out when the parcel is unwrapped at the table.

Method

  1. On each banana leaf place a piece of fish and top with the remaining ingredients
  2. Fold the banana leaf up and over the ingredients to create a sealed parcel, ensuring there are no gaps around the bottom
  3. Tie the parcels with a piece of string to keep them secure
  4. Place parcels in a steamer and steam for approximately 15 minutes
