Beat together the mashed banana, eggs, honey and vegetable oil
Mix together the baking soda and lemon juice
Add baking soda and lemon juice along with ground almonds to the banana mixture and mix well
Pour into a greased slice tray or roasting dish lined with baking paper to a depth of approximately 2cm, ensure the tray you use has sides that are at least 4cm high so you can pour the topping over the cooked cake without it overflowing
Bake slice for approximately 30 minutes or until lightly browned and springy to the touch
Remove from oven and allow to cool in the tray
Berry topping
Heat berries slowly in a saucepan until the juice runs from them and they are cooked. Avoid stirring them so they don't lose their shape
In another saucepan bring the water to the boil and dissolve the sugar and gelatine in it
Add the water to the berries and allow to cool to room temperature
Assembly
