Cycling for heart

A big congratulations to our Tour of New Zealand Heart Foundation team for showing their big hearts and riding over 500kms across our beautiful country.

Tour of New Zealand Heart Foundation team 2021

Thanks to our incredible team of riders and those who gave so generously, over $100,000 was raised, all of which will go towards funding our life-saving work.

The Heart Foundation team was made up of 61 enthusiastic cyclists including riders from Hynds Pipe Systems, Downer NZ, Meadowbank Cycling Club and some highly motivated individual riders.

Starting on 10 April, the Heart Foundation team, along with over 160 dedicated cyclists rode for a total of eight days on some of New Zealand's most scenic roads. Riding across the breath-taking South Island, from Glenorchy to Blenheim, they crossed over from Picton for the final day in Wellington.

A big-hearted thank you to everyone who donated and supported the team on their journey. All funds will go towards funding life-saving heart research that will help us beat New Zealand's single biggest killer – heart disease.
