AUT Certificate of Proficiency in Pacific Nutrition

Do you work in the health or education sector? Do you work with Pacific communities in a training, advice and/or support role? This AUT, Level 4, online Pacific nutrition course could be for you. Find out how you can register.

The AUT Certificate of Proficiency in Pacific Nutrition will teach you about:  

  • the relationship between the types of food we eat 
  •  the effect they can have on our health.  

You will learn about how food affects health, emphasising the importance of traditional foods as part of a nutritious, balanced diet. Every life stage is covered, from age 0 - 65+. 

Learn how to share the information you have learnt with your families, communities and workplaces. 

Course details

We have two intakes for this short course each year. It is delivered in two formats, either face-to-face in Ellerslie, Auckland or online, via Microsoft Teams

How do I register?

1. Complete the online registration form.

2. Send us proof of New Zealand residency signed by a Justice of the Peace. This can include: 

  • New Zealand Birth Certificate or Passport or 
  • Foreign Passport with New Zealand Residency Visa 

Submit your certified identification documents by emailing phbinfo@heartfoundation.org.nz

We will contact you to discuss your enrolment. 

Please note, acceptance into this course is not automatic. Acceptance is based on all the relevance the training package has in relation to the line of work you are in.  

If your registration is accepted by the Heart Foundation you will be required to complete an AUT (Auckland University of Technology) online enrolment which we will supply.  

Cost 

$150 per participant. 

This includes subsidy by Te Whatu Ora, and criteria apply. We will discuss this when we contact you about your enrolment.
